Paul Walshe, solicitor and property law expert at Awdry Bailey & Douglas appeared on the BBC Watchdog programme on 2 August 2017 taking Purple Bricks to task over their trading practices and compliance with consumer protection law.
Paul's commentary highlighted potential breaches of the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 and The Ombudsman Code of Practice.
As a trainer for a nationwide course provider to estate and letting agents Paul is recognised as an authority on consumer protection and landlord and tenant law.
Paul commented that "It was fascinating to get an insight into the work that goes into making a show like this and I'm pleased to have made a small contribution to levelling the playing field between High Street and online estate agents".
Paul joined Awdry Bailey & Douglas in 2015 and is a key member of the firm's litigation and property disputes team. No stranger to media exposure Paul has also appeared on the BBC Radio 4 Today programme in the past to speak about worrying trends in possession claims.
